Booking, warranty and getting paid
If a job can wait, how far out should I be booking it?
Give it a week if you can, that spread usually lands you the pick of arrival slots, though nothing about timing changes if the job turns out to actually be urgent once we've had a look.
Say a repair fails again well after the fact. What's the actual process?
Pick up the phone and treat it exactly like a new booking, the Lifetime Labour Warranty means our own workmanship gets corrected properly and nobody's handed a fresh bill for our mistake.
What can I actually pay with, and does it need settling upfront?
Card, cash or a payment plan, whichever suits, and since the number was agreed on paper before the job began, handing over payment afterward is really just closing out what you already approved.
I rent the property. Does that stop a job from going ahead?
No, so long as the owner or the property manager has signed off on anything past a simple like-for-like fix, and we're equally comfortable liaising with whoever handles the property day to day.
Are the parts fitted during a job covered by the same warranty as the labour?
Different things, our own labour is guaranteed for life, but a part we supply and install still answers to that manufacturer's own separate warranty rather than ours.

Once the work starts
The plumber's mid-job and finds something else wrong. What then?
That extra piece of work gets its own price and its own yes-or-no from you before it goes ahead, the original job doesn't stall and nothing gets billed without your agreement first.
My water bill jumped and I can't see anything obviously wrong. Could that be a leak?
Worth investigating properly, a leak hidden under a slab or behind a wall can run unnoticed for a long stretch, so we'd rather test for it than have you guessing at the cause.
Does work on an older house around here ever need council approval first?
Rarely for standard repairs or straight swaps, the plumbing code already handles those, though heavier structural work, extensive underpinning or relocating a main drainage run can sometimes need it, flagged before quoting.
What should I actually sort out before the plumber turns up?
A clear run to whatever's playing up matters most, and knowing where the meter and shutoff live is a bonus, but honestly a decent description down the phone is enough for us to get started.
The house is empty during business hours. Can outdoor jobs still happen?
Usually, yes, plenty of yard and external work doesn't need anyone standing over it, and if the job unexpectedly needs someone to unlock a door, we'll call first rather than just turning up and hoping.

They do, a century of established growth along that boundary has had plenty of time to work into any cracked joint nearby, and properties right against the fairways tend to notice it more than most.
Does a property on one of the steeper streets down toward the lagoon get priced differently for drainage work?
It can, a steep fall changes both how a line needs grading and where silt naturally collects, so a genuinely steep block gets that built into the quote rather than priced like it sits on flat ground.
